On a serious note, if we say the 22nd, does that make everyone except Lynn a happy camper?

Greg, black is best! Black is Beatiful you know. Remember that song from Hair. I'm sure Tommy could turn it into a joke, but my feeble joke gray cells seem out of it.

Drive you car, we need to make sure that black out numbers that blue color.

We should do a California meet around San Luis Obispo or lower Big Sur what a fun road to drive.

Cheers,

Beth

other options for east coast meet locals:

new hope PA (so so parking, fun place)
Flemington NJ (great parking, lack of bars)
Lahaska PA (great parking, nice bar)
Washington Crossing PA
King of PrUssia Pa (one of the best malls in america)
Bridgewater NJ (big MB dealership)
Atlantic city NJ (gambling fun, and alcohol, readily available hotels)

actually since its june, any shore points would be cool.

personally i vote for odettes in new hope, great dining overlooking the delaware river, and interesting shopping in new hope. or yardley, since i live there!

one caveat about king of prussia mall - routes 202 and the 76 expressway are under construction (for the next 3 years!) and traffic around it is one huge nightmare!

i like new hope. and greg's place in yardley sounds good to me... not familiar w/ the other places.

Wink

New Hope is a really nice place, I just think that Bear Mtn. would be a better spot for all concerned.

Young, in case you couldn't tell, you'd go 202 to 287 to 87, and then you'd basically be at Bear Mtn. It would be very easy to do for you and Butt Munch.

I second that! Or even better, Newport Beach.

Beth, Pixmation and my cars are lemons so we can't drive all the way to NJ.

Hmmm....left coasters should try the SF to Santa Cruz run...then further down the coast to Malibu...but don't stop there! Make it a weekend adventure!

And guys....New Hope? C'mon, cant you come up with a place where bikers, freaks n fairies wont be drooling all over the cars? Besides, you'll NEVER get a parking space.

....unless Tommy really wants body piercings....

Angry Damn, damn, damn!!!!

I forgot - I'll be at N8 that weekend, which is the 8th annual Niagra Falls CRX meet. If you think the MB gtg pics look impressive, think about 60 crxes all lined up in a lot. It's pretty amazing.

So, I wouldn't be able to make it on the 22nd. Is the 29th too late? Sorry about that. If you still want to do it on the 22nd, then I'll be very angry. And you wouldn't like me when I'm angry. (Spider-man's coming 5/3, so thought I'd throw in a Marvel superhero quote for ya).

Rick, you're right about parking in New Hope. If we all meet there, I'll get a prince albert if you do. BTW: isn't "fairies" a little neanderthal?

um....no....maybe a litle phobic, but I'm damned proud of my strictly hetero status(ok, THAT will get deleted by accord!)

"No Hope" (local vernacular) ...er, New Hope brings a whole new meaning to the term "drag racing"...

I'm amazed that there are 60 CRX's on the east coast that aren't completely rust eaten.:p

There will be more this year! You should see some of the crxes from Ontario province - they look like the driver could do a Fred Flinstone to stop the car. You can pretty much put your hand through the rear wheelwells without any trouble. Speaking of that, I have to get my rust taken care of again. They're great cars, but Honda metal is very thin (and ribbed, for her pleasure).

WOW 60 CRXs.... the noise from those 60 fart can exhausts must be deafening!

actually, i think new hope is a fun little town! lots of freaks and wierdos to stare at as you drink your mochachino (in the afternoon) or your godfather at night. Parkingon the main street is parallel style lot parking on the side streets is available, but you have to walk a little bit.

PLUS it has the advantage of an awesome, twisty two lane, tree covered road with speed limits of 45, but no cops ANYWHERE. As long as you dont get stuck behind a minivan its a fun drive along river road.

River Road is awesome. Used to drive it all of the time in my parents' Rabbit. Loved that car when it was working (screwy VW electrical system).

So, it looks like we're basically agreed on the 29th, then? Hope it's not too hot. Of course, then we could all just line up our cars with the windows down and the climate control on auto. :p

Canyon roads are a blast, but how did this meet get so far south? Malibu, there an back is not a long day's drive from the Bay Area. It's a weekend hike.

I actually think the best roads to drive in California are in the Sierras (worthy of a Bond movie), but guess that's to far away for everyone.

There's some pretty nice roads with high death tolls around OC & LA. You have the Ortega highway and the Angeles Crest Highway. Pretty scenic and enough twisties to make someone with a sport bike grin. It's a perfect place to hold an East Coast meet. Malibu is just another place to get stuck in traffic.

Besides, you have to meet at a biker bar. Can you imagine the looks you would get from a bunch of bikers in leather when we drive up with a bunch shiney MBs wearing tuxedos' and ordering champagne and cavier at the bar! It would make a great picture.

But you don' t have the elevation dips. You know that Road that cuts through the top of Yosemite and then cuts down to Mono lake. You must lose 8,000 feet of elevation on those hairpin turns in 5 miles. 10 points a camper, I tell ya!
