boston meet
okay, so i'm trying to think of some activities us boston merc enthusiasts (not exclusively, though) can get up to with the pending warm weather and have an informal meet. thanks to sorlo one of the ideas would be to check out the New England Dragway and the other idea is to schedule in some time at F1 Boston . both sound like a lot fun to me, but i'm curious to see what other people think and about how many would be interested. check out the link for details and i'm hoping we can do something in the middle of july.

Oh, I totally forgot about F1 Boston, that would make things interesitng. Hopefully we can get to meet this summer as there were only few reply from the last Boston meet threat. (I will leaving and won't be back until the end of July

My best time was 13.72 @ 104mph. The weather was too cold when I went, in the 50's, and I got a lot of wheelspin. I'm hoping to do better!

OKAY!! CFA is OVER!!! i have a life!!! but i probably failed miserably..........but i digress.....
a few buddies of mine are interested in getting some track time at F1 boston. here's the deal, there are 2 courses available from which to choose and you need 9 people to reserve a session on one track. a session entails practice laps and either a 10 or 15 lap race. if you can rustle(sp) up 17 people then they will combine track 1 and track 2 and you will have X% more fun. getting reservations may be a pain in the a$$, especially for 17. i'm not sure how many people we can get together so i am extending this offer to any of you folks who might be interested. i won't be able to get a track reservation without first determining the size of our party because if we do get 17 (that's the goal here) then it may be harder for them to accommodate a reservation post haste. so if you are interested pm me (w/email address please) or shoot me an email and i will be posting further clarifications and details as i get off my *** and start talking to the folks at F1 Boston. oh yes, as far as cost, i don't see this exceeding $100 per person, maybe less. don't hold me to that but i will let all who are interested know.
