Timing of New Car Extended Limited Warranty at Least Buyout
Hi, I've been told different things about the timing of an ELW at lease buyout at three years:
1. It should be purchased at or before buyout because if you purchase post-buyout it is no longer a new car and not eligible as a "new car" for purposes of the ELW.
2. It can be purchased anytime before the new car warranty expires (4 years), regardless of who the buyer is.
