Prosidium Extended Warranty
I just purchased a CPOEQS SUV 580 from a Southern California dealership. After reaching out to Jeff, I got a quote on the extended warranty of $5000. As I was going through the purchase, this dealer stated that their warranty was $3900. They had it listed as Prosidium. It is an exclusionary warranty. When I inquired what Prosidiumwas, they gave me the impression that this warranty was under the umbrella of Mercedes. It is obviously not, it is a third-party warranty. The warranty covers the car up until 84 months from the original titled date with unlimited miles. It has a $100 deductible per occurrence. It also starts now, so if I cancel it in three months, I would be on the hook for the first three months of service despite not having kicked in yet. This company used to be called principal and warranty. I’m wondering if anybody has had any experience with this provider. I’m thinking of canceling tomorrow morning.
I also wanted to ask if anyone gets the tire and wheel protection for the car. I was quoted $3300 on this. It covers tires, wheels, windshield damage up to the cost of the deductible, and key fob replacements. It was $3300. I’m thinking about canceling this one as well, but I’ve heard some stories about the EQS SUV and it’s tire and rim issues.
I wanted to reach out to the community to get some feedback. Your input is greatly appreciated. I’ve left a couple of voice messages and sent an email with questions and some concerns about the presentation of these products. I’m hoping to make a decision by tomorrow morning.
Thank you!
