Conflicting information from two MB dealers on "extended" warranty

I told each dealer I was interested in buying "an extended warranty" -- MB ONLY! Not a third party warranty! Each said, no problem. Dealer # 1 said they can sell me "an extended warranty" which will extend the original, manufacturer's warranty for two years (and I forgot how many miles). This dealer said this "extended warranty" will begin day one, mile one, when the original, manufacturer's warranty runs out (due to time or mileage). Side note -- I always thought this was an option and you could buy this. Now some people are saying, no, you can't, because you are not the original owner.
Dealer # 2 said they can sell me an "extended CPO warranty" which will extend the CPO warranty that is on the car now (but doesn't actually begin until the original, manufacturer's warranty runs out). This "extended CPO warranty" is also for two years, from the time, the current CPO warranty ends (and again, I forgot how many miles). This dealer said no, you cannot extend the original, manufacturer's warranty.
On my current car, I bought a two year extended warranty -- a MB warranty, which I bought from the dealer who sold me my car when I bought it in 2021 -- but now I have no idea what I bought! LOL. I know the original, manufacturer's warranty and the CPO warranty are not the same.
So, which dealer is right? Or, are they both right and just offering me something different. Simple question -- if I am buying a CPO MB from a dealer, and the car is currently under the original manufacturer's warranty (both by time and mileage) -- can I buy an extended warranty that extends that original, manufacturer's warranty?
Thank you very much in advance. All the best and have a great weekend!

So how limited do you think the CPO warranty is? When I got my current car, the first problem I had was covered under the original, manufacturer's warranty (they had to replace the radiator) as it happened pre-50,000 miles. In thinking about it, I don't remember if it was pre-four years -- is the original warranty 4 years or 5? Anyway, I never had any problems or issues that would've had to be covered under the CPO, so I really don't know how good or how "limited" it is.
Any thoughts? Experience? Thanks again.

Some people use third party waranty such as Fidelity. More expensive but covers more.

The idea of dealing with a third-party just doesn't thrill me. At least with MB, you are dealing direct with them, the dealer yes, but at the end of the day, the dealer is dealing with MB -- and not a third-party. Thanks.
