I haven't actually seen the 2012 in person, but it looks to be the same shape. Can anyone confirm this?

Its the same shape except there are no concaved parts. The entire surface is round. Soo if the middle two struts for the clear indicator part of the light bends in it wont fit :\

The middle two struts don't bend in. They are the same depth and curve as the outer frame.
