At about 11 months of ownership and 5,000 miles, the car is warning that "Service A" is due. Found this strange since most EVs I've had in the past didn't need scheduled maintenance or at least not as often as their ICE counterparts.

Depending on who I talk to at the local MB dealership, the answers range from "You need to bring it in for its first oil change" ... to "It's a software bug and you only need maintenance after 2 years because it's an EV"


Has anyone had scheduled maintenance done on their G580 at 1 year?

 

Yes, just last week

Dealer picked up in AM topped off fluids, replaced air filter, wiper blades, etc and did a thorough inspection (coolant, brakes, etc) and dropped it off later that day.

Mine came with 4 years of service when I purchased it last Oct.
