Lighting solutions
After thinking for a while, I've been seriously considering getting some lighting upgrades for my G-500.
I have a 2003 G-500, with the factory grill guard. The stock lighting is ok, but I'm wondering if there is any better (and legal) ways to improve it.
I was looking into getting possibly a set of lamps to go on the grill guard, and possibly upgrading the stock headlamps...possibly with better (whiter, bluer or brighter bulbs) or even doing a xenon conversion (once again, I'm not willing to risk an illegal conversion, I don't want to be liable for anything) Any advice on what do would be great.

An easy upgrade is to use Philips Vision Plus bulbs (H4) instead of the stock Philips bulbs that come on the US model. Swapping the bulbs on the G-wagen is pretty easy with the hardest part being lowering the front brush guard.

Another option is to make sure the headlamp angle is adjusted correctly to give you maximum legal angle. Lastly, it's rumored the 2007 model of the G-Class will xenon headlights and perhaps there will be a way to retrofit them to previous models.
