Anyone have an idea of a fair $$ value for my 2000 G Wagen? I am thinking of selling it. Imported by Europa Intl, 55K original miles all standard amenities + optional grill guard, running boards, rear jump seats, original factory 9000 LB Bumper Winch, programable remote heater unit.... Very Good condition original sale price was $153K.. I have all papers, documentation etc. Thanks!

Bentley Arnage Red Label
Probably less than you would like. There are a few die hards that would rather have the last of pre MBUSA models but no one wants to pay more for one. An 02 can be had for close to 40k so a grey market 2000 would be in the 35k range unless you find that rare buyer willing to pay a premium for the old interior.

Even though Europa Int'l no longer really exists, Russ Leabch is still around and getting higher than average prices for older G's. I have his cell number, if you wanted to have him sell it for you on consignment.
My email is: gwagen at bellsouth dot net

..............it is true that the Mbnz.org is a much more active G forum than Mbworld. However your $40K figure for the 2000 G500 is not much different from the $35K figure posted earlier, especially since the car was bought from Europa for $153K. I understand that some are nostalgic about the pre-MBUSA G's and further that the 2002 G's have issues, but I think the most amazing figure is that at some point in the past, a person had to pay a whopping $153K for a G500.

As I said, "Marketing". MBUSA could learn from them.
