Was there again today and actually took a closer look. The cluster was NOT updated. But, the COMAND and climate control were the "new" version. odd...

^per the question: since all of the updates for the new navigation, instrument cluster and so on are solely for the 07.5 gwagons (ones arriving after today basically), I would also assume that the new engine would be available starting now with the new 7speed tranny. but again, ask a higher power for a more definitive answer
