SAT Radio?

Someone posted this over at 6speed and I thought it was a good question to ask here as well. How do you activate SAT radio in the 463s? We have the SAT button on the COMAND... is additional hardware needed? Or is it was simple as having the dealer activate the feature? Thanks!

^ so do you mean that if i get a sirius radio thing it will work through the comand in the 06 models?-pressed SAT and it says no sat radio

yes you can get sat radio that is direct integration with your vehicle. its essentially what mb would have installed. the biggest issue is that mercedes does not sell aftermarket integration kits for lots of new (06-07) vehicle if you dont get it from the factory and while some of the comopnents are available via mb parts the harnesses are not.

ive been designing retrofit kits for a few years now and when i posted about the SAT retrofit the a few weeks ago there was alot of interest. apparently alot of people want sat radio now but the dealer was telling them that it was impossible to add factory sdars.
