Looking for used G-Class
Hi everyone,
I have been searching for a used G for some time now. I know these cars are built like a tank, therefore I am willing to look for something older than my usual comfort zone. That being said, does anybody know the recent auction prices for G's? Also, any major issues to look out for? I've owned a Mercedes for a while now, so I'm used to the repair bills, but how much is the upkeep on the G?
And for all of you that are already thinking it, I already DID STFF, so STFU!
Thanks to all in advance!

And you really expect an answer with that kind of a comment?
I've owned and driven (and mechanic'd) G's for 25 yrs, and post helpful responses on more than one G-Class Forum; but I don't respond with help to folks who post like that.

2013 G 63 AMG
My G55 is six years old and has been driven almost 90k miles and is pretty reliable. Recently I've had some issues with the air conditioning and a few sensors in the engine, but otherwise it's been pretty reliable. That's especially true considering the harsh climate I use it in a fair amount of off-road use.

They are no more and no less reliable than any other Mercedes. The electronics, air conditioning, window lifters, etc. have a tendency to give trouble over time; but the basics such as drive train, body, etc. are very solidly built and a well maintained G-wagen can easily be a daily driver for decades.

Dutch, lighten up.
