Got my new G500 today!!!
On Monday I went into the dealer looking at the ML500, and one Tuesday I finalized the buying of the G500
Funny how you want one thing and end up with something totally different. Anyone, drove around the whole day, and it's amazing the kind of attention the car gets. I live in Manhattan, and almost everyone turns their heads. I suppose this is the only negative thing I can think of, since I don't usually like being watched and scrutinized; however, it's worth it for the G500.
Anyway, loving the black on black G500... !!
So, anyway, I'm 19 and in college, my mom offered me a car after getting my stellar report card, so the person commented that I was spoiled. *shrug* I don't like being labeled as such, but maybe I am

Since I am a philosophy major, I like to give this account when people say someone is spoiled:
This appears in a work by David Hume. I believe it can be found in "Race and the Enlightenment" by editor Emmanuel Erza (if anyone even cares)... (VERY paraphrased)
One day, two slave owners were talking about their wives. One commented, "Our wives are so spoiled! It is outrageous! Why are they spoiled?"
On which, one of their slaves commented, "you give your wives everything, buy them anything they want, and worship their beauty, then, when they become spoiled, you ask why."
After hearing about this conversation, the enlightenment philosopher Kant commented, "it would have been an astute comment, had the speaker not been black."
This little story is meant to bring out racisim among even the most 'enlightened' enlightenment thinkers; however, I am adapting it for my own use

It is quite interesting that even the greatest philosophers in history could not get past the dominant racist discourse of the day.
For more on racism in philosophy, see 'Rousseau - Discourse on the Origins of Inequality,' 'Hegel - Reason in History,' and the aforementioned compilation...
I don't know if any of this relates to anything, but I never pass up a chance to talk philosophy

If I don't get into Harvard or Columbia for law school, i'll probably go to NYU.
And parking is nuts here. We pay about $500 a month as well. Damn upper east side, lol.
I don't usually make it out to the Hamptons. I'm usually in Europe for the summers, but I have jury duty in July, so I have to hold off an vacations until then. I don't want to go to europe and then fly back and such
