I live in Canada and just got brand new 2011 G550 (Tanzanite Blue Metallic). Need your advice about how good it will look with a brush guard? Chrome or Black? And how much it cost and where can i get it? And finally will Mercedes Dealer have problems with that? (warranty)

Congrats on the new G550!!! I really want to see pictures of your truck, that color will be really rare. What interior color did you get? I'm from BC and my G550 will be here at the end of the month, I'm getting a white one.

If you install a brush guard it will not effect your warranty unless MB can show that the brush guard was the issue to your problem! I would install one and not worry about it.

Where in Canada are you from? Please post some pictures

Im from toronto Ill take a picture soon, interior is black. I love the colour because its looks little bit like black from far away but it give my G new look. I have black on black GL450 so this one we decided to get a diff colour.

Yup correct only old models have them installed. But is bumpers already pre drilled on 2011 or no?

Also my advice tint you windows to the max, and if you will get a brush guard paint it matte black and maybe even white rims. I saw couple good ones. And if you really want to add something sick you need A.R.T carbon fiber hood. Car will be stunning

I'm going for the clean look so no brush guard for me, I'm still trying to decide if I should keep the spare tire on the back or remove it? Any thoughts.

The Rear spare is awkward looking and is a magnet for cars bumping into it since it sticks out well beyond the bumper, however the cars I have seen without it look really strange to me.

You'll find that spare tire cover damage is typically owner induced, (backing up into just about anything) especially in the pre MY03 models w/o backup sensors.

Be careful. The photos do not show any of the attachment pieces that bolt to the bumper; and are absolutely necessary to mount it on the G.

Then I suggest you order it through your local MB dealer. If you get them to install it then you should have no issue with warranty! You get any pictures of your ride yet?
