19" or 20" G500, G55 wheels WANTED and Needed!

Hello everyone-

I just put the Brembo GT Big Brake Kit on my G500 and the factory 18" wheels won't fit any longer. The car is sitting at the shop awaiting wheels.

Anyone know of either 19" or 20" either Factory AMG or even the Replica AMG wheels available for sale anywhere?? (not the dealer... way too much money for them there)

Please help as I don't want the look of aftermarket wheels on my car and having a heck of a time finding these.

** with the exception of the Vossen 078 model wheels, which I like but Vossen has discontinued.

Please either email me here or call me on my cell at 312-343-4433

hi Alex-

There are replicas available (on eBay) of the 20s BUT the biggest problem with wheels for our Gs, even beyond the bolt pattern is having wheels that are properly Load Rated to handle the weight and rough suspension of these cars (otherwise they bend & crack easily). I ended up finding a wheel company in Southern California that could custom drill wheels for me and they where properly load rated so their warranty still applied.
The company is ACE WHEELS at www.acealloywheel.com

I went with the Ace "Mesh 7" wheels. They gave me a nice aggressive offset too, to fill out the wheel wells etc. I regularly get compliments on the wheels too!

20" wheels (also the factory size for the G63) seemed to be the best balance of good looks VS ride quality.

That's good to know, thanks for the info.

I checked out the site, but I'm having a hard time visualizing how those rims would look on the G. Care to post pics of how your wheels look?

Sure! Here're a few pictures of my G:

I put the Lorinser front & back bumpers, Lorinser headers back exhaust and the Brembo GT Big Brake setup on it as well...

Nice! They actually came out pretty good. The Brembo brakes look dope. I'm going to consider these as I'm waiting to sell my stock wheels. Those have to go before I buy a new set...

thank you. Yes, I was very pleased with the final look once they where mounted. you can get them in different finishes too. mine where the hyper-silver, but there is a standard painted silver and dark anthracite too that would look pretty amazing.

Ive revived this thread!

i do like your wheel and tire set up

what are you offset, wheels dimension and what tire sizes are you running?

I am also looking for either the G63 20"or aftermarket 20" and want to run a nice flushed fitment with the fender with 305/50/20

i know this was super old, but i was looking at doing this as well. how much did it end up costing you for the brembo brake package.

i think it looks so much better on the car.

did it make a big difference driving the car?
