2013 G 63 AMG
The 2004 G500 (at least in Europe) has option EV8 which includes Motorola's Universal Handy Interface which allows you to integrate several Nokia, Motorola, and Siemens GSM phones with the COMAND system.
Since you've already got your car, you should take a look at the Audio & Electronics section of this site for more info on integrating the 6310i. Benzworld also has an article on this topic.
The 2004 G55 I'm buying (outside the US) includes the 6310i, but not the UHI interface.

Thanks for the info. I read all I could find about it, and it looks like a decent option, but I was mostly interested in finding out what the cost of all the parts is, and wether or not it is easy to order them from the U.S.

As an update, I got the 6310i integrated into my 2003 G500 and it works great. I am running AT&T Wireless, and it is really nice to have a GSM phone which integrates with the car, especially since it is so inexpensive compared to the U.S. OEM alternative.

2003 MB G500 & 2006 MB SL500 & 2008 MB 350 4matic - all BMWs are SOLD
Nokia 6310 integration question.....
How did you integrate Nokia 6310?
How much was for the parts and labor?
I have Nokia 6310 from AT&T and was looking for a way to integrate it into both of my cars 2003 MB G500 and 2001 BMW X5.
Thanks in advance.

I cannot seem to find the Electronics section on this site.
I have a Samsung Sprint cell phone. I could not see paying $2500 for a phone for the G500.
One interesting thing I found in reading the manual, you are not supposed to use any kind of cell phone inside the G500. Actually, it does not specify cell phone, it actually says "any transmitter with built-in or attached antenna without being connected to an external antenna"
It says it could interfere with the electronics of the vehicle. Is this really true, or is it Mercedes way of trying to get you to purchase their phone? My salesman said that the integrated phone was a waste of money, and that as long as I had a cell phone that would be fine.

The kit will cost you about $550 plus the phone which AT&T doesn't provide anymore, but of course will work for years to come. Ebay has these phones for about $150 unlocked so that you can use any GSM carrier (Cingular, AT&T, T-Mobile). This doesn't include installation or the Voice Control unit. I seem to recall that install time is listed at 1.2 hours in MB bulletins.
My suggestion is to spend a little more and go for the new UHI installation (maybe a few hundred bucks more), but you will be able to change phones easily as time moves on (by just swapping the snap-on phone cradle).
Right now Steve from MbBenzNL.com will be you best bet...
