Keyless Entry on the G Glass

We are considering a G Glass. I've tried looking for this on the web/Youtube but can't seem to find whether or not the G550/G63 offers keyless entry. I believe it does offer keyless go, but will you be able to unlock/lock doors with the keys in your pocket by simply putting your hand on the handle. We have a little one and a toddler and my wife needs this feature when taking the infant car seat in and out of the car without fidgeting for the keys.

If any current owners can confirm this. Thanks!

No, the G class doesn't have keyless entry or keyless go. You need to press a button on the key fob to unlock the doors and need to put the key in the ignition to start the engine.

People raised their kids for manny many years where they actually had to put the key in the door to open it and here it's too hard to press a button???

I was actually thinking the same when I responded, but decided to just answer the questions.

I had it on my 2014 Range Rover. Pressing a button instead of putting the key in and turning it didn't revolutionize my life. IMHO, things like heated / ventilated seats, adaptive cruise control (Distronic Plus), rear view camera, and such are FAR more useful features. If someone wants all the latest features, the G isn't the right vehicle for them - a GL might be a better choice.

I like those other options too, I didn't realize the G does not have keyless go.....I was recently considering a switch from my S to a G, but decided not to.......the GL just seems a bit to soccer mom for me

I got it on my wife's Lexus had it on the ML than Gl and yes it's great but not an option that makes it difficult raising two kids lol... Got a 1.5 year old and a 10 year old and don't see a problem when I use my G WITHOUT KEYLESS GO
