Hello
Just 4 bolts on the hood and pull it up, off of the hinges.
Be sure to disconnect the ground in the back and strut.

Sorry for the delay, i have been very busy with work in the past months.
I bought them on ebay. They were from a salvage site n Latvia. I have finally got most of the critical functions to work. The seat movements were easy and just plugged in. The hardest was the passenger occupancy sensor as the 2002 ECO only talks to the module on the 2002 seats, so i ended buying the the 2002 sensor and swapped it on the seat. Needed to re-set the sensor faults, but now its working.
The part i have not got to work is the lumbar, as the new seats have the air lumbar and require the installation of the airpump. I did but the pump, however, the issue is changing out the seat wiring harness.

Has anyone done a side mirror upgrade. I have purchased the aftermarket side mirrors but dont have the color code wiring to swap out. I would think i also would need to change the switch to include the folding function for the new ones. If anyone has that wiring diagram i would greatly appreciate if you could share it

i have all the seats from my 2002 G 500 as well as the door panels. They are Black leather and in great shape as the car only has 65k miles ... most of the time only driver driven and garage kept. If anyone is interested let me know, will be glad to sell at great price. I am located in Austin Texas, so if you are local will help significantly with shipping cost

Please help identify the purpose of this part
@Kobzarhomes , do you recall the purpose of that element? Is it a floating nut to secure the front console?
It is a source of noise on a bumpy road in my truck. When I removed the front console, I noticed no bolt in it (I wonder if it was supposed to be there). Please share some details about its purpose, as I need help locating any part numbers/diagrams concerning the area.
The noise emitted by that nut on a bumpy road makes me very sad

Kobzar, do you still have this G? I saw it for sale but was wondering if you decided to hang onto it. Beautiful build, and I don't think selling it makes much sense as it's irreplaceable, but everyone has their own reasons and circumstances.
Personally, I think it looks more elegant than the 13+ iPad dash facelift models.

Hello
I still have it. Has been in storage for the last few months, haven稚 had a chance to work out a couple of little details on that so I just parked it. I will try to get through it in the spring may beyond possibly listed for sale again once most of the things are sorted out.

Kobzar, I was trying to find where you sourced the alcantara from with no luck.
Everywhere I have checked it seems that it comes in 142cm width, measuring the headliner I don’t know if this is wide enough.
Can you let me know what size piece you bought and from where please.
Also what wipers did you buy?
Thanks.

Hello
Here is where I got it. It痴 just the perfect size. You have to be careful too lay it right in the middle or otherwise it will be short on one end.

Thank you
I did enjoy it, drive it for 1 year but I will be putting it back up for sale soon. I haven't driven it for about 1 year, its been in storage, just don't have time to get to it.... but soon I will. I just want to address couple things so its more sorted for the new owner.
I love everything about it and enjoyed every moment of the restoration process. It's definitely one of a kind out there.

What I would do is unscrew one of your side dash bolts, match it up at the hardware store, and then use the new bolt to secure the dash to the front of the car. They will be the same size for sure.

how much would you sell it for as it is? I know the G market has come down massively since you did all that work and had it for sale. My 02' seems to have dropped about 10k in the last two years (which is crazy but whatever)...

Also, do you know where the 4 wires that attach to the hazard switch go on the new style hazard switch? I have the new one but can't figure out where those 4 go. Also, what does the blue wire do and does it need to be attached to the new hazard switch as well?

I would disagree that the prices have gone down on the G wagon, especially 2002-2003. In my opinion from what I致e seen prices for the basic non-restored G wagons of that year have gone up in the last two years.

Decided to start taking the front axle apart so I can drill a bigger hole for the original ABS sensor in the newer front axle that I have on my car (newer year axles had smaller holes for different versions of ABS speed sensors). I thought I could use new version of ABS sensor but it does not want to communicate with my vehicle so I have to takeoff the hubs and drill larger hole.

Let us know how that works and if it solves the issue.
Would also love some more recent photos of the truck, non-professional iphone ones are just fine
