G63 BRABUS valve controlled exhaust installation

Hi

Just wondering of anybody has done or observed the installation of BRABUS valve controlled exhaust on his/her G63.

I know installing the mufflers is very simple but I am wondering about how difficult it is to connect the vacuum system and wiring for the sound management from the steering wheel.

The MB dealer is going to charge me an unbelievable rate claiming that hooking the vacuum system and wiring is a time consuming job.

I know this is how the dealers are; there rates are over priced

However, would like to get input from you guys.

What would you consider to ne expensive? Its a $8,500 exhaust on a $150,000 truck. Not a borla exhaust on a mustang.

But in all seriousness, there is a lot to it, the electronics need to be programmed to control the flap on the steering wheel... Where did you purchase it? Id recommend a brabus dealer install. It may be beyond the ability of a normal MB dealer. Not worth taking chances.

Just to clarify one point here. I am not talking about the cost of the exhaust whether being expensive or not.

I am talking about the installation charges which is around $1100.

The MB dealer is the authorized dealer for Renntech and deals with BRABUS as well

$1100 is pretty fair! I believe it's a 6 hour job.

Brabus installation booklet states 8 hours I believe. But yes $1100 is fair.

Hello,

We charge about $1500 to install that system. It's not an easy system to install. So if MB is doing it for $1100, that's a great price.

Thank you!
