2016 G63, 2014 SL65
Totalled 2014 G63
Flipped 6 times after being rear ended by a Chevrolet truck going 80 (we were going 20 as traffic slowed). Family walked away with only bumps and bruises. Kudos to Mercedes. You saved my family.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. Luckily no-one was seriously injured. These things are rugged! Time for a replacement? Peace be with you and your family.

Glad to hear that. Although I am a new G owner both my wife and I have become enamored with it. Throw in the safety aspect and I can't imagine being without one. Many happy and safe miles in your new ride.

Thank you. Both the front and side airbags deployed. The car flipped end-over-end a few times before it kicked sideways and rolled a few more. (According to eyewitnesses. Difficult to tell when you are inside the vehicle). Interestingly, there wasn't any loose glass from any of the windows. The front windshield was impaled by a three foot metal rod that was holding up a cable that separated the north and south bound lanes and it remained there as the vehicle rolled.

One of the better reasons to by a G63
Wow. That has to be one of the best reasons to buy at G63. Glad your family is safe. Bought a Expedition in the 90s for the same reason - friend flipped his end over end and rolled numerous times after going off the highway at 70 mph and he & his wife walked away. Amazing.

so many spare parts 
. but glad you made it out ok. gives me more confidence driving my g wagon.
i once hit a massive pothole that bottomed out the g wagon. bent the front bumper but the frame and even the wheel was fine. same thing my 911 or sl55 would of been major damage. g wagons are built tougher than volvo's!
