Can't wait to see this crazy color . Congrats on yours !
Congrats on the 4X4, you will love it, and the color!
I will be there from the 8-12, let me know!

It is going to be extremely limited production (<200), so if you haven't placed an order yet, definitely get one in before the end of December.
When I left MBUSA in February, there were just under 300 built/in production/scheduled...with the new allocations being awarded, I have to assume that the number is above 300 now (USA).
Here we are today just browsing to see if there're some 4*4 for sale at non MB dealer and just what i assumed it happened. People start flipping them already at $50K over MSRP.

It is interesting that one post on this thread used the analogy of a baseball player's salary. In fact, that's who ended up buying the unit I had the deposit on but directly from the dealer at MSRP.

), I would really recommend going with a G63 over a G550. FWIW, I owned a 2014 G550 and a 2016 G550 prior to my 2017 G63.One reason is the availability of the quilted leather seats. Not only do they look great, they're also more comfortable. My understanding is that they have more padding in them. Whatever the reason, I've found them to be significantly better so far.
Next, while the engine in the G550 is no slouch, I've been amazed at the difference the extra power makes in the G63. The only downside is that fuel economy does suffer a bit (at least around town), which means driving range also suffers which might be a bit annoying on longer trips. I haven't gone on any long trips in the G63 yet; it's quite likely that the mileage is closer if it's mostly highway driving.
Finally, the suspension tuning on the G63 is significantly better IMHO; even compared to the adjustable suspension option on the G550 (which my 2016 had). It's a slightly rougher ride than the G550 when driving on bad roads, but otherwise it's a huge improvement. Highway driving is probably the area where the most improvement will be noticed as it doesn't feel like it's wandering around anywhere near as much.

There are a lot on Autotrader and eBay and they're going for list. They don't command any sort of premium. And I wonder why anyone would blow $250k+ on this when the all new G-Wagon (and a 4x4 2 variant) will be out this year.
