1. The Defender is not made anymore
2. In unmodified guise the Defender has the performance of a geriatric slug
3. When passing a truck in the rain you need to wear Wellies
4. When driving faster than 60 mph you need earplugs (at least before the 6 speeds)
5. One G will buy you at least 3 LWB Defenders outside the US (at least that was the case when the Def was still in production)
6. The G has 3 lockable diffs out of the box.
If you don't factor in the entry fee it's really no contest.
BTW : I owned, operated and offroaded a Td5 for 8 years.
