Anyone tried the front windshield clear anti chip protecter on their Gs
Mercedes told me the G wagon with its near vertical windscreen is more prone to chips and cracks. They can install a clear laminate of some sort to avoid most of this from happening. And if it does they pay for the windshield replacement.

Anyone tried it and if so, is there much paralyx or distortion when looking out of the window with the coating on it? Thanks

Thanks, they said it was around $500 I think to do. The material was the cheap part and the rest was basically the window insurance. So any crack or good chip, the stuff won't protect, they do a free replacement.

Not sure if there is a limit on replacements or what determines a replacement from a chip. I will check into it more.

The G owner on P3 did not buy has from a MB dealer. He went direct to the source.
