2014 W463 G550 Install illuminated LED star emblem?
Hey guys,
I have a 2014 G 550 and I would like to install an illuminated LED star emblem. I see tons of them for ~$50 on Ebay but I'm not sure if they will fit my car? I have seen some install videos on other vehicles where the old emblem pops out with a little twist, but that does not seem to be the case with my vehicle as it appears to be part of the grille. The other concern I have is I read that the LED may interfere with distronic cruise control which would be a deal breaker for me. Has anyone successfully installed the LED star on a later model G class?

if you have distronic plus on yours all bets are off, because you cannot have the glowing star and the distronic plus at the same time. Reason is because the the glossy star that is distronic plus is meant to be housing for a camera behind it for the cruise control. I dont see that many G wagons with the illuminated star out here (in LA and there is a heavy presence of a G wagons) with the illuminated star as it is.

The Radar for the Distronic System is in the bottom Driver Hand Side of Front Bumper, see pic attached.
