DRL AND TURN SIGNAL LIGHT UPGRADE QUESTION
Hello all,
I have a 2002 G500. I purchased DRLs and updated side mirrors. My current side mirrors only have one plug for mirror function. New headlights have 2 wire, one is the same as my G500 oem mirror. The other I assume is for the turn signal. How do I wire the turn signal light even though I don't have it.
Also what fuse should I tap to power my DRLs? I saw something about the aux fan pump but I would like them to come up when I unlock the G...
Any suggestions would really help!

You're not going to find an easy point to "tap" that will illuminate your DRLs when you unlock your G - that would require some external logic to accomplish, although, if you do what I did ( http://www.benzworld.org/forums/g-cl...l-install.html ), you will get close.
Using that circuit, the DRLs will:
- Come on when the key is turned to the on position.
- Come on when the parking lights are on
- Come on when the truck is unlocked at night
- Dim when the headlights are turned on
- Turn off when the key is turned off.
- Stay on when the delayed lights exit function is active
If your DRLs do not have a "dimmer" input, just don't include that part of my circuit - you will just lose dim when the headlights are turned on feature.
Using that circuit, the DRLs will:
