ORC rear stabilizer / sway bar - help needed
Hi all, has anyone got instructions and/or a parts list for the ORC rear stabilizer retrofit kit for a W463?

Yes, still have the G Wagon. I added the rear sway bar at the same time as adding a lift and larger tires, so I can't comment on the ride without it. But, it seems to do it's job at high speed on the freeway, the truck rides well with no swaying and is planted at speed. I've also taken it offroad at Moab and it hasn't been a problem, even though the end links of the bar are two of the lowest parts on the truck along with the diffs. Cornering at speed (as much as the truck allows anyway) is fine too, no wallowing. I think it was worth it... Most of the components of the kit are OEM Mercedes (from another vehicle), including the sway bar itself. ORC mainly provides the nicely welded end brackets to hold both ends of the bar in place.

Loving the idea of the sway bar kit but not the price, can parts be sourced individually to reduce costs, is it a straight DIY retrofit for a 2016 G63
Thanks
Thanks

I'd say it can be sourced, in fact I had to source some of the main parts that were missing when they shipped it to me. The two main ORC pieces are the end brackets, so you'd have to custom fab those. Everything else can be sourced I'd say.

Were/are any of the parts from other MB cars part marked so they could be purchased individually?
I guess a fab shop could cut the end plates from dimensions or a pattern
Dumb question but dont they do one for the front axle too?
Thanks

Not for the front, but they do offer a reinforced (thicker) front track bar/panhard rod, which can also be a little longer for a lifted truck. I got that as well.

You already have a sway bar on the front. You may be able to cobble something together from a front sway bar, but why reinvent the wheel?

Do you have details of the thicker front track you got, I didn't see it on the ORC website.
Does it have to be fitted with the rear kit to work correctly or can it be done on its own and still get a noticeable improvement in stability

AMG_55_cruiser did you collect the parts yourself or buy as a kit from ORC, just wondering if buying pieces on their own will mean a saving over the ORC price?

No just an OEM parts diagram. As previously mentioned you can probably buy everything from a Squared minus the ORC end plates. They use a long all thread to go through the two large pipes in frame and the plates push into the holes of the pipes and attach by washers and nuts

From my subscription to the MB parts catalogue, for the G63 (albeit must be the 6x6 as it says vehicle weight 4800kg) the parts list is as per the picture:-

Not sure if this is correct or not so please don't quote me on it, just info I've extracted today and will use for my own research, I'm not responsible for anyone else who does the install
