Updating 2012 G wagon stereo to Apple play touchscreen?
Hello all,
I’ve been trying to find a stereo to replace my 2012’s old button controlled screen and nav. I don’t really care if it messes up the steering wheel controls I just want something with apple play and Bluetooth. My dealership tried saying the car is so complicated anyone wiring it up to the current electrical hook ups will destroy the car. I won’t be trying to do the install myself but don’t want to trust my local stereo guy too much either as G wagons are ultra rare here.
Any good recommendations there? It needs a better subwoofer too.

2012 was a transition year. I've seen both versions, the 2013 dash with the "ipod" looking thing, and the 2011 dash with the radio under the hazard switch. Which one do you have? Knowing that would help you get the answer you're needing.
