Good looking set up!! I have a similar lift, went with Kings custom shocks. In the end I wish I went with Fox's just for instal reasons. My kings are amazing though. Don't know how anyone can ride in a stock G63 anymore. haha. I have been trying to buy offset bushing for ever now, I can't for the lift of me get a hold of the seller. Here is my G. Cant wait to get the new one in so we can see how to lift that one.

I am thinking of buying the bfgoodrich KO2 for the G. How are the MT for the G? I had the STT pro by Cooper on my last vehicle and it wasn’t bad but it was a diff suv.

Did you have to use a spring compressor or were you able to just remove the shocks and drop the assembly to remove the springs?

BFGoodrich just came out with the Mud Terrain KM3, looks like an excellent tire with low on-road noise. I was thinking of getting them, but there are limited sizes right now. If they're in the size you want, I'd recommend them. Otherwise, the KO2s are great if you spend most of your time on pavement, which I do, so I went with them.

^^^Thanks bro!!

And the Q about the tires. I like the M/T. Ive had really good luck with them on other trucks. Ive ran 40x15.5x22s on my last trucks and they rode smooth and decently quiet for the size. I take my stuff offload and do put a decent amount of highway miles when I do rive them. On the G they roll perfectly fine 80mph+. Now I wouldn't be going 100+ on these hahaha.

I ended up going with the KO2 AT and it’s going in the shop this coming Tuesday for the lift install and hopefully Wednesday for the Wrap.

I think it was 2200 for spring and shocks and then 230 or so for steering strut. Install will range $600-800 including alignment. The ride difference is day and night. I can go over bumps and it Doesnt hurt lol. The AMG suspension was so stiff.

Sweet... just have to black out the grill, and replace the side steps with some rock sliders...
I'm going to get my brush guard powdercoated as well, looks much better that way.

Thanks! This is great to know as I was quoted $10K to lift a G wagon... This is much more doable and realistic

a simple 2-2.5” loft without caster correction will definitely be closer to 3-4K. Cheaper still if you do it with spacers. A lot of that will depend on what shocks you go with-I chose king externals do to the better aftersalea support compared to fox, but the product itself is comparable. Both run you about 2500 alone.

If you go go any further than 2-2.5”, that is where the big money comes in. Lots of little things to address that add up (don’t ask how I know)

Looks good Limey, what is the overall height with the lift and tires? Ours barely clears the garage door with the wheels I got from you, we were looking at a lift also.

Hey mate. The G's been lifted approximately another 3.5 inches, the roof sits at right around 6'9" now. I also have a 2 inch rear antenna on it which doesn't help... lol.

I actually had my garage door opening modified and increased 4 inches in height from the standard 6'10" opening, and added a high-lift (side) door opener. So, I still have around 3-4 inches clearance. I may add a roof rack at some point, not sure that would be low profile enough to fit but we'll see!

Amazing! I always liked the look of lifted G's , first saw it on Wheel Boutiques website, after they told me the price, of about 20 or 30k i think it was with rims , tires, and lift kit i changed my mind.. For $2200... im going for it!

Looks great!

What tires size did you have on your G?

I'm getting a 2" lift too and was wondering whether to go with 33" or 35". From most pictures I've seen, 35" seems to big and unproportinal with a 2" lift. The tires you have on look great though but I can't tell whether they're 33" or 35".
