I own a G400cdi 2006. All original chassis and 18" ET63 rims with 265/60/18 tires.
Does anyone know if larger tires like the 275/70/18 or 275/65/18 would fit without any problems?
Any practical experiences out there?

My G320 CDI 2007 with 275/65R18 with ET63 18 inches wheels. No rubbing.

I also have a question, would 18" wheels clear 2011 G55 brakes? Came with 19" stock

 

According to this website: https://www.kbb.com/mercedes-benz/g-class/2011/ The G55 AMG also came with 18 inches as an optional.

In my opinion, you should try some 18 inches wheels first just to be sure before buying.

The CDI versions came with smaller rotors because i know we can fit 16" inches Hutchinson wheels without problems.

 

Decided for 275/65R18 116R Nokian Hakkapeliita R3 winter tires on stock ET63 rims. I drive them all year round. Great on snow and ice but also on grass and light terrain and very comfortable on highway. No rubbing.
