Amen. My dealer ordered plugs from Germany for me and another G550 buyer. Not sure if they will fit but I plan to keep trying until I find something that allows me to make a clean bull bar delete. Years ago I removed the brush bar from my 1995 Range Rover Classic and it made a huge improvement to its appearance. I’m guessing that the Mercedes designers themselves cringe when they see the bull bar uglifying their design.

I am still torn if I like it on the G550. I know really like it on the 63. On both the bar separates it from other cars even further. Wonder what hit this one and with what speed/force bent the bar like that: RBDLA instagram
That’s a shame. The G550 bumper doesn’t look too bad without. I may just remove it anyway. My G550 has the platinum magno finish and I’d be too afraid of a body shop trying to fill the holes and properly match the paint.

I have attached a photo of both 550 / 63 bullbars removed and you can see the difference of how they are designed and how the 63 is made to fit plugs.
Has anyone who removed the bb on the MY19 G550 been told by their dealer that it voids the warranty?
Never heard of that or why it would. That 63 above looks bad but imagine the damage without the bullbar. I'm still a big fan of the design on the 63 but not so much on the current gen 550.

I remember reading a post either earlier in this thread or another one on the subject where someone mentioned removal of the bb could void warranty given it was a modification. It seems to me it shouldn’t, but wanted to see if anyone knew for sure.
Also, I contacted Gwagenparts to inquire about a bumper plug for the US G550, and they said they still don’t have the part. Anyone else have any luck getting these?
Anyone making an aftermarket bumper plug yet for the U.S. market G550? Mine is the black AMG line version on Platinum Magno and doesn’t look terrible but I’d much rather take it off if I could just find some plugs.
Maybe for the 2021 they will give US buyers the same option as the Canadian buyers so it can be ordered without the bar; however, that does not help the 2019/20 US G550 owners! I would have thought they would have come out with a cover by now...

But there are no covers that anyone knows of yet for the "regular", which I assume you mean is the US G550, and maybe others.
