MB flipped cost by mistake
Just heard back from dealer , MBUSA flipped the cost of prepaid service, listed for $1965 on G63 and $2490 for G550 while it should be the opposite!

That actually would make total sense. I was just wondering today on the G63 config why the maintenance package is so cheap compared to the outgoing model.

2-9-19 Delivery. Well worth the wait. I never owned previous Gen G. The characteristics that so many do love did not appeal to me at all. What did was the design, capability, sturdiness and just cool factor. When going through the delivery process we were interrupted constantly with customers wanting to climb in look around and see the 2019. With such limited availability and when they do show up they are out the door within hours to those that purchased months ago. Once customers actually get to see them and put their hands on one they will go ahead and throw down a deposit and order one. While no one wants to pay over MSRP so we ordered forever ago. Probably not a bad idea for dealers to have at least one G63 on the showroom floor with a big markup that just sits there so customers can touch and feel and order one to be here in 9 months or you can pay 50k today and walk out with this one. Just happy to have finally picked it up and I appreciate all of you on this board for your comments and feedback that have helped me with my purchase and being informed during this process.

2019 G63. Active Lane Keeping Assist
For those who have driven their new ride.
Active Lane Keeping Assist. the steering wheel vibration i was used to from prior car. the braking and steer correction part if u keep going off the road is a little crazy. Will get used to it. dont think u can have just the vibration mode can you? Can you turn it all off?
also Standard vs Adaptive? seems from what i read that Adaptive will go off less often..?..

Hey, wow, 1 week of driving and my windshield is cracked. MuthaFu**a!!!! Had a rock hit this morning on way to wrap shop. Does anybody know of a coating or way to protect these vertical windshields? nano/ceramic vs a ppf type ??

There is a film just like PPF for the windshield called Clearplex. I don't have it on my cars but my understanding is that they can even put a couple layers of it on so you can peel if off if you gets chips. Very handy for guys that track the car.
Ceramic coating won't help for rock chips, only film will prevent the chips.

Yeah I think this is the 4th report on the forum so far of cracking. Seems like the pressure might be too hard on the glass.

That is disappointing you don't get a 5th ED1 wheel. For $5k Thought you would... Does the 22" wheel set up have a taller vertical? Or same height as the 20" I wonder. (Forget the tire that comes on them both obvi a shorter wall on the 22" vs 20" ).

The menu option does not exist on the ’19 G550. One needs to press and hold the button to the left of the steering wheel after every engine start. In my experience the implementation of LKA is dangerous in the ’19 G. It nearly caused an accident when the guy next to me drifted into my lane. I swerved to avoid him and LKA pushed me right back towards him. Luckily he reacted and we didn't crash. I turn mine off every time.
