I didn’t know, nobody told me.
Actually, I expected the KO2 to be the most popular tire for the G, but I also expected owners to push the diameter envelope up to the 33” range before I started seeing lifts. My 275/55R20s are 31.9” with no issue of wheel well rubbing or home garage door clearance.

I haven't had good luck with the BFG products. They came stock on my Raptor and wore way too quickly. I swapped that vehicle over to the Ridge Grapplers and preferred them way more.

33 x 12.5 x 22. Nitto. Getting them put on as soon as I leave the dealer - who knows when delivery will be for the 63 😷

As the ply rating goes up, the max pressure also goes up. This means it is a stronger tire capable of higher loads, but it also means it is heavier and stiffer.

Personally, and no disrespect to the OP or anyone, but I don't think this tire looks good with White and those wheels. The White paint (I got the 2019 G550 in the designo white metallic - killer color) and those modern looking wheels don't marry up well with an aggressive tread.
But what do I know, I put raised white letters on my 2015 G550 and it looks horrible

When I went to my dealer to pick up my rear cargo mat, a crowd from originating from within the dealership (sales & service guys) gathered around my G, pretty much to check out my tires. The most common comments were that the tires really changed the look and that MB really needed to equip the G’s with “real” tires. I really like the 20” wheels with the AT tires.

New to the forum and I have a new 2019 G550 brilliant blue with the night package. Stock 275/50 R20 tires that came with the truck- my first G. Love the look of these tires. I am not too familiar with tires and wanted to confirm these were put on the stock wheels that come with the MB? If so, then I am going to order them. Thanks.

Thanks - looking for something more aggressive looking than stock - an all season tire that performs well in the snow. I’m not in mud very often but snow and ice are both common in upstate NY - the nitto reviews are good with snow but I am open to any suggestions

Reposting to see if I can get any opinions on a more aggressive tire for the G550 that will do well in upstate NY snow/ice as well as work on dry pavement/highway. Love the Nitto look = does anyone have an opinion/experience with them in ice/snow. The factory Pirelli's are listed M+S for "light snow" -

You want an all-terrain tire, with at least a T speed rating and a 113+ load range. These trucks can do 130+, if you have the road, so I would not suggest anything less than T speed rating. You can do the following plus tire sizes on the 19' G550 with AMG line, without mods.
275/55r20 (least expensive, most selection, safe choice)
285/50r20 (Very few options)
285/55r20 (mostly heavy truck tires, which will ride rough and add weight, cost more)
I like the Falken Wildpeak AT3W and the Yokohama Geolandar G015
The Geolandar in 275/55r20 is probably the best All-Terrain tire, at least on paper for this truck. It is the only one that is H rated (up to 130mph).
Good luck!!
