changing front SAM: Do I need help?
My front sam got really wet and the dealer says it needs replacement.
If I were to buy one and replace it myself, will there be programming or another reason I would need to use the Dealer for?
2002 G270 (same SAM as G500)

It’s easy to get to. Basically remove the kick panel above the passenger footwell. Shouldn’t take more than an hour or two start to finish. There are many plugs so make sure you record which goes where (usually they’re clearly marked). As far as reprogramming you might need a STAR system to clear any error codes. Good luck!
