Is it normal to see oil wetness/seepage on bottom of the front differential housing near the plug?
I have also seen some oil wetness on the part that looks similar to a shock absorber installed horizontally near the front differential as well. See pictures:
What is your opinion, is it normal or something is not tight? It has not leak on the garage floor yet and the previous owner had the steering shaft replaced/repaired at 3,500 miles is what is on the Carfax history.

I was going to tightened it but don’t want to over torqued it since I don’t have the correct socket/torque wrench.
Asked my mechanic about it and he says the factory spray some protective layer around that area to further water/rust proof it.
