2019 G63 - No Inductive Charger?
I have had a G63 on order since Oct 2018, and I just now realized I do not see any indication of an inductive charger for newer iPhones and/or Android phones in this car. The next iPhone that will be released in about Sept/Oct 2019 is said to no longer have any hardware port, not even the USB-C charge port. This means the user must charge inductively. This is fine whilst at home. However, unlike many 2018 vehicles, I do not see any slot for inductive charging in the G63. This means we will need to buy a big uglyass inductive charger hockey puck for charging our newer phones whilst in the G63. Has anyone else looked into this?

We have the wireless charger in our BMW M6 (factory option in the center console) (and it was in my '17 X5 before I upgraded to my '18 G63). Maybe it's better in the MBZ, but it is awful in the BMW. The wireless charging is SLOW!!! If you are really low and need to charge, it is essentially not usable!

Not sure, but the new iPhone coming out in Sept 2019 will no longer have any hardware connection, so inductive charging will be mandatory. My neighbor just purchased a new Dodge Ram, and says his inductive charging in his new vehicle is equally fast as it is plugged into USB-C.

They cannot launch one without the connector. It is required for their own "closed chassis debug" use. As well as the recovery items. Anything wireless to work, you need to have most of the functions up and running in the machine, which beats the purpose of recovery... So yeah, multi purpose ports to eliminate audio jack and things like that is one thing, but letting go the last one is another...
Having said that, wireless charging should be standard on all vehicles at this point, especially Benz.
