Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel
I'm not of fan of the alcantera on the G class steering wheel that comes with the carbon fiber wheel. Does anyone know if AMG/MB make an OEM heated wheel in a leather / carbon trim on any other model? Might try to find a swap or buy one direct.

Yes, it is available. I have an inbound G63 with carbon fiber wheel and leather that is heated. Not sure if this helps but the codes on the build sheet are L6L for the carbon wheel/leather and LH1 for the heated wheel.

Hope I'm wrong, but I'm pretty much staring at the DOG and the L6L (AMG Performance Steering Wheel in Leather/Wood) has the leather I'm looking for, and the trim is Piano Black. It seems odd you could spec a carbon interior (ZG6) with a steering wheel that is piano black. But I've learned from experience the DOG is littered with frustrating nonsensical combinations. The L6H wheel (AMG Performance Steering Wheel DINAMICA /Carbon Fiber) has the "dinamica" which is basically alcantera.
The image shown (online and in the DOG) on the L6L shows leather and "wood" and no carbon. The option has a footnote: "only i.c.w. ZG2 design black piano lacquer trim or ZG6 carbon fiber trim" where i.c.w means "only in conjunction with". So you can have this wheel only if you are ordering the ZG6 Carbon trim or the Piano Black trim. Sorry if my initial response was confusing. I did in fact order exactly what you want.
I just double checked with my salesman. We ordered the G63 with the carbon fiber trim and the option that came up for steering wheel were either the alcantara L6H OR the leather L6L (both were with Carbon Fiber) and we chose the leather steering wheel with carbon fiber (L6L). The heated steering wheel was a separate option and was ordered as stand alone LH1.

So after some extensive research with the dealer and a search of pics on AutoTrader looking for a combo of leather/carbon I've pretty much deduced that you can only get a carbon fiber steering wheel that has the dinamica fibre on it. So back to my original question, does anyone know of another AMG spec that has a full leather/carbon style wheel. These wheels are usually interchangeable. My quest goes on!
