Any thoughts on Desert Sand Color

Color is a matter of personal taste. Having said that...I don't think Desert Sand is at all flattering to the G. I happen to think that these trucks look better in darker colors. Just my opinion.

I have seen several 2018 G-Classes (550 and 63) in Desert Sand, and of course colour is very personal...but it is just to me, one of the most dismal, awful colours Mercedes can make and offer!
I think the G really shines in dark colours, but regular white, metallic white and my Iridium Silver look amazing on the G (18 and older and 2019+)

I tend to agree with most others - get what you love. Personally, that color doesn't do it for me and I couldn't look at it everyday. But to each his own!

Personally, I would love Desert Sand on the G63, if it actually looked like true DS, such as most all US military vehicles are currently painted. The problem is the particular color Mercedes calls Desert Sand looks more like the color of baby poop. Nevertheless, if you like it, you should absolutely go ahead and get it. Who the hell cares what any other bloke thinks about the color of your car? It’s your car, so go for it!

will not be a good resale on private markets but trade in wont matter; and will be unique. i think with a matte wrap on top the desert sand would look super unique and slick. But I think if it sings to you then go for it. I'm always amazed at how I never get bored at looking at these trucks! Hope you get it and can't want to see pics!!!!

Passed a brand new 2019 in this color the other day on the road and kinda thought it was very unique color. But still would prefer a white with black trim. Can't really go wrong in any dark color as well. My 02 is black pearl and I haven't seen that color in any of the newer G.
