2019 G63 Cardinal Red... Finally here!

Thanks for all who have shared pics - they have certainly helped the wait. (Er, or made it seem even longer....!)

While many sweet G63’s pics out there, I haven’t seen many in Cardinal Red - thought I would share. (It looks more “red” in person, love it! Dealer has delivered 11 G63’s so far, none in Cardinal Red yet)

One of my favorite features....because everyone needs side exhaust, of course!

Contemplated the 22”s, but loved this design... no regrets, looks great!

Sweet White G63 in background...

Well done Christian Bathe, Danke Schoen!!!

It’s a gift for someone special...

Love the Carbon Fiber wheel, well worth it.

Now that's the color I would choose over the boring silver and black models I've seen. Gorgeous!

Wow. A real stunner. I generally have not been a fan of those wheels but they look amazing on your car. Congrats.

Curious on your opinion of the dinamica on the carbon steering wheel? I'm flip flopping on that option over the full leather wheel as I'm concerned the alcantera will soak up sweat or other moisture. But it looks good on your car. Thanks!

Thank you. I have HRE’s on my 911 and never expected I would like stock wheels again, but for some reason I love these. They almost have two completely different looks depending on how your eye catches them.

Regarding the steering wheel, first impression is very positive thus far. Love the feel of both the Carbon Fiber and the Dinamica, but haven’t had it long enough to offer great feedback yet. I originally thought it was Carbon Fiber and Leather when I ordered (ordered end of last year.... no proper ordering guides existed and online build capability wasn’t up either). The steering wheel feels a bit larger in grip diameter as well an provides a sense of higher luxury. It was a last minute add and I have to say it’s my second favorite individual feature on the truck (nothing beats a bad a$$ side exhaust!).

One option I did miss was the heated steering wheel. I did not realize you could get this with the Carbon Fiber variant and missed checking that box. We live in a warm climate, so not concerned about this - but I’d be kicking myself if we were up North.

Small world, thank you! This is our first MB, great experience thus far.

Some comments above also. It feels very durable/robust, but difficult to answer at this stage. We will not be serious off roaders so will likely no ever be around too much dirt/mud (off roading for us will be if our son errantly drives over a bit of lawn...!) I’m also not sure how often we’ll have really sweaty hands when using the truck (perhaps after hitting the gym), so I may not be the best person to answer this.

I’ll provide more feedback (and pics) once we have a chance to drive it more. For those awaiting your orders...wow! It’s worth the wait (will be that much more special for you when it arrives).

Like your color choice I went with designo expressso brown/black with fiddleback ash which looks great with the red. Went with the 22" wheels.
I have the delimiter option and it came with 22 inch Pirelli all seasons Zeros as yours did.
Good luck with your ride

Sounds very nice, would love to see some pics!

I skipped the delimiter as I can’t imagine ever going so fast in a G63. Although, I am surprised you have the same tires. I understood the reason for the steep price increase of the delimiter was to upgrade to 3 season tires. Perhaps merely clever marketing by MB, as I anticipate a lot of folks will get this package as it’s not a material amount compared to the cost of the truck.

Just for the heck of it, I ordered the speed delimiter option on my G63 in Oct 2018, and it’s due to arrive about Oct/Nov 2019, maybe later. I’m anxious to find out first hand what the heck my $2200 bought me, other than the tune that gets me 149 mph.

Thanks for the pics. Great color. I love those wheels. They look like jewelry especially with that color. Good luck and happy motoring.

Great build!! Love the cardinal red color. After seeing them in real world pictures on here I like it even more. I would probably get cardinal red with one of the white interiors if it were me. I couldn’t afford the extra cost of an AMG, so I had to go with the 550. One day...
