2019 G550 Lane Change Assist aggressiveness

The lane change assist function on the new G Wagon is way to aggressive. We have tried different Configurations and it is still very aggressive and unpredictable in its behavior. Does anyone know if there is a software update or fix for this?

I confirm. I have a new G63 (MY19) with 1k miles in Switzerland. The lane change assist is annoying in at least 3 ways: aggressive corrections, unpredictable and wrong behaviors - it often “reads” solid lines as potential danger even in perfectly fine conditions (middle of the highway, no other cars around) and violently jerks the car and apply brakes without any good reason. And, when it is active, the steering wheel constantly jitters and amplifies even the smallest road deformation. I turned it off.

I asked the dealer who is in touch with Germany. No fix available. Anyone else has other information?
thanks

I am hoping someone makes a plug in software to automatically turn it off along with the auto-start stop function

Can it be manually turned off?

Whats strange about it is also that it doesn't work consistently. It seems to do it when I'm actually paying attention but the time I let it go to see what will happen I would end up in a ditch...

This is my #1 gripe about the G. It nearly caused an accident when an SUV drifted into my lane. I swerved to avoid and the system pushed me back towards him..

Unlike other MB models, it can’t be disabled permanently. One needs to push and hold the button after every start.

Yes. Has to be manually turned off with each start. It is annoying and possibly hazardous due to the intensity.
Button to the lower left of the steering - press for a few seconds.

Thanks, getting tired of all these issues and I don't even have my 550 yet. I sat in a mint 2018 G63 with 7000 miles on it today. Thinking about offering them $120K which is $25K less than the 2019 550 I have on order.

Have you considered a new GLS450?

Porsche Cayenne GTS
In case MB follows on here, or aftermarket groups wanting to make some $. Adding in that this "feature" is super annoying.

I believe the manual shows 3 options for this, and one of them being "Off". However when I go into mine, "Off" is not there.

What is hard to fathom though is that I had it on my 2017 GLS63 and it was amazing, I relied on it all the time on mundane long journeys... it read the road faultlessly, reacted to traffic as I would want. Hard to understand why it has gone backwards for this newer model.
