I was looking for a G550 and couldn't find any dealer with an available vehicle in stock or any build slots available. Happen to see a used 2019 G550 with 500 miles (yes, 500 miles) at a local Porsche dealer. Apparently, the first owner has no money issues, lol.
Anyway, the original MSRP of the vehicle is $135975. I paid $140000 even. Oh, the first owner even had the entire car wrapped with 3M film.
Any idea why the owner unloaded it so fast? There was a 19 550 here that had 300 miles on it that the owner traded in as well. I could never get an answer why.

When you have demand for a product that exceeds supply there is a lot of speculation in the marketplace. Every opportunist gets involved. Individuals, wholesalers as well as deals between dealerships of other brands. So the long and short of it is every deal has a "story". That's what makes the free market system so great.

Who knows, my dealer has had a couple of G's traded back in after a month or so. This truck is not for everyone.

I think alot of people are jumping out of Range Rovers and cars into the new G since it is now very "luxurious" and "drives better". While it is very much both, it's still a G and the drive is by no means S class like. I think some people might be learning that the hard way? Not sure but 300 miles, 500 miles is really low. It takes me 10k miles to know if I like a car or hate it. (out side of the looks). Suppose if you know you know though. Either way, one mans trash is another mans treasure :-). Enjoy it!
According to all of the sales and their GMs, this guy is one of their most valuable customers, lol. I guess he is loaded and he buys and trades in his cars all the time. One time he came in and bought a convertible 911 just because someone said to him why you didn't buy a convertible. Another time he came in because he thinks his dog is not comfortable. The most extreme example was he drove a car home and drove it right back and said he didn't like it. It had 50 miles on it. I guess for some people money is not an issue and they do whatever they want.
In any event, I picked up the car today. All body panels were wrapped in 3M films. It even comes with a car cover. Honestly, I really don't understand is that the guy only drives all his cars like for a month, why bother with wrapping it? unless the wrapping purchase is the dealer's profit and he just doesn't care about money.
