Still waiting...

Hey Guys!

I've had a deposit placed for a the 19 G63 for over a year now ( Dec 2017)... Still have no expected time period. My SA has said I will most likely receive a 2020 version. Should I believe him and continue to wait, or shall I just go out and buy another vehicle?
Really love the G, but this whole process has been very frustrating. Would love to hear some feedback. ( I am located in Toronto, ON if anyone is wondering(

You should move on to another dealership. I'm in NJ and 2 G's last May 2018 and took delivery of the G550 last November 2018 and just took delivery of the G63 only 2 weeks ago.

Seems like an issue with that dealership. I ordered a month ago, was 13/13 in queue at that time and now 6/16. Had an issue with a different dealership before that.

That for a 63 or 550?

There are two basic issues here. Canada, for some reason, doesn't and hasn't historically received a large allocation of G Wagons. Second, you should be investigating other dealerships in Canada. You have waited too long. The supply in the States has started to free up somewhat. I turned in my MY '16 at the end of lease last month. A week later I received a call from my dealership saying that had an an unplanned allocation of a G 550 and wanted to know if I would like to drive it and purchase it at MSRP. I drove it (so much improved!!!) but passed on the purchase because my special order G 550 is in process and will be delivered shortly. Good luck with your search.

That's too long. The issue is with the dealership. Either they have a very low allocation or they're selling them out the back door with steep premiums.

I’m located in Canada as well. I put down my deposit for a 550 in February 2018. I got my allocation in March 2019 and my truck is scheduled to be built on May 16th with a delivery date of July 2, 2019. Long wait. Hopefully it’s worth it.
