2016 G550
Hello,
I am currently negotiating to pay off (buy direct) from a lease of a 2016 G550. Car looks great but the owner noted said it was never been in an accident on the road but was hit while it was parked (this car is in Manhattan). only front right fender and tire fender damages in addition to cosmetic damages were suffered. He said MB Manhattan fixed everything and said he could provide that service report. should i be concerned about this? the price is too good to pass up...i think i can negotiate this 70K + taxes for a 2016 G550 with 21-23k miles.
Also, how does the MB warranty work? according to the carfax, this car was purchase on 2/2017 - so is the MB warranty valid until 02/2021?
one other note, the accident shown on carfax was a surprise to the owner. the dates didnt align with the accident he suffered versus what was reflected on the carfax. his accident didnt show up on the carfax. note he did not lie about the accident because i didnt mention the carfax accident until he disclosed his accident voluntarily.
other factors - he seems like a credible person (did a little googling, his job, his background etc).
i would love some enthusiasts' insight on this! should I go for it? Thanks!

Can you test drive it? Drive it hard a bit, make sure all the doors line up and shut perfectly straight with equal space around each.

I would have to ask the owner. The car is garaged in Manhattan so I'm not sure how hard I can drive this or even get a chance to test drive it. I'm sure he'll be cautious about me trying to test drive it.

Warranty until 2/21 as you said or you can have a friendly local dealer confirm via VMI pull
mismatched accident date - maybe difference of reporting date into insurance vs actual accident date? If repaired properly I wouldn’t be worried as the price reflects it as you mentioned. Since it’s still under warranty you might be able to buy the extended factory warranty

That's an insanely good price! Good luck, I wouldn't be too worried, if I was purchasing the car from a dealer I would pass but given the almost what? 20k price difference it becomes a different story.
