Best method to change bull / brush bar colour from chrome to black
I ordered a new G63 and the bull/brush bar can only come in black if I got the night package which I didn’t want. So I added the chrome bull/brush bar. However I was hoping to get some advise on what would be the best method to convert my chrome bar to get that same OEM glossy black look if I didn’t like the chrome?

I would wait for a Night Pack brushguard to pop up for sale on eBay or in the classifieds vs painting your factory brushguard. It will chip over time, and this way you can always revert back to the original configuration later.

I like tbat idea, with the US having all their G63 fitted with one, there should be lots up for sale. I hope they just aren’t over priced.

The black bull bar lists for $1500 for a brand new piece at full retail. You can order it via many on-line MB parts vendors for around $1050. Part number 463-880-78-01

Also somewhat related, I also have 2017 G63 without a bull bar. By chance would you know what the part number is for the chrome bull for that generation of G63s?

I'm going to do the same thing to mine also... Im just going to use Rust-Oleum. I painted my brakes red, I just just an engine paint. Orange as a Base and then red on top of the orange. Came out great. Body shop wanted to charge me $800

Powder-coating is the way to go.
If you want to see how is going to look..just buy from Home Depot 2 or 3 cans of black plastidip and spray it yourself.
