Ugh - keep my 2019 G63 coming in/ or re-order 2020
I have a 2019 G63 in olive metallic /night pkg arriving early Sept. It’s loaded and will be beautiful. But the 2020 dealer order guide posted here is killing me. There are some really great new colors and options that have been added, like black roof and fenders, trail package, etc. The dealer is willing to give me a 2020 allocation slot, but they said to expect that vehicle a year from now. I feel like the 2020 models are a significant upgrade in terms of options. Plus I’m getting one of the final 2019 models, so I already feel like it’s almost a year old. This is an exercise in patience versus immediate gratification. Of course what the dealer would like for me to do is buy this one and then trade it in on a 2020 ha ha.
Is anyone else with a 2019 rolling in faced with this dilemma?

Frankly - I think moving from almost-there to the end-of-the-line on a G63 is they way you might want to look at it.
With the existing G63 "customer orders with dealers" now - frankly if I took a "fresh" G63 order right now it would be for a 2021 delivered Dec 2020/Jan 2021...
If G63's stay "strong" - getting a new one each year ain't a bad thing is it ?

In my opinion life is too short to spend it waiting. You have more than likely already been waiting 6 months.

I have this exact combo in production right now. The olive looks perfect in pictures. Can't wait to finally see in person. Should have car by end of August. I would not have ordered this color with black fenders or roof if it were available on my 19 build and like the new color options but keep going back to Olive as a pretty perfect color for this SUV. Might have taken advantage of some of the new 2020 interior options like contrast stitching but likely the black designo diamond stitch with black ash interior that I ordered will age better. Happily for me there isn't anything new on the 2020 that is a must have.

I had this combo on order but reverted to obsidian after seeing it in person. It's stunning but I couldn't convince myself to keep the combo. Still sort of regret changing it to black. But my current G55 is black and I love it. But this Olive / night package combo it one of the sickest ever. So nice.
