I know Motorwerks Group from my St Clair Shores time. Great shop - great prep work. They know what they are doing
This thread is getting more interesting by the day

Now, why don't you call my office in the morning, 248-668-6793, ask the office personnel there that answer the phone about myself and my vehicles, next, I'll give you my cell, we can Facetime, we can walk to each vehicle at my house, and you can personally verify the vehicles, their titles, and registrations.
Oh...and I agree with you that some vehicles are clearly a waste to wrap. Like a pissant C230 that a dealer wouldn't even want for a trade-in.....I'm sure you've got that C230 all "stanced" out, lowered on air bags with 22" dubs on it...or a homemade high mileage G550 purchased from some dirt lot gas station with Autozone mods....we know your type...
Just because you don't agree with other members' spends doesn't mean you can sit here and chastise their financial decisions. Some of us are fortunate to be able to drop $$$ on wraps, coatings, G-Wagons, etc. and it not impact our financial livelihood one bit.
One more thing, my name is Satish Tummala, you can go on Facebook and check my profile...plenty of pics of those vehicles at my home. And my wife's Instagram is JJ_JorgensenTummala. Same vehicles parked in my garage. Don't get too jealous...she's a model...
But to summarize, you should be happy that guys like us are purchasing brand new G63s and wrapping and coating them. Because 15 years from now, when you can finally end up buying mine from some used car dealer in 2034, the paint will still be in great shape for you

Tulsa, curious why you think its a waste of money to PPF a vehicle? Serious question...And my explanation was pretty clear so was Satish...Why do you disagree with that so heavily? Real question..
And yeah post up ya Vin to the Bug, I most def can find out who's it is. I have a few close friends that have Veyron's and Chirons. But I can pretty much find anyone really..part of my job. If you do have a Bug, congrats. But you would also know that a repaint on that car will absolutely kill the value on it. So makes sense to wrap it in PPF just not to take a huge financial loss...jus sayin playa.

Some people like to argue for the sake of arguing, even when they have no solid ground.

Will I propose a Truce.... What do you think of the new Corvettes? I propose we put our collective minds together and instead of arguing, design a BodyKit and fabricate it up using the Corvette as a Base and sell it. What do you think Playa Playa Playa (Capital P)... You obviously know cars, and you know people who are the prime Target market and Target demographic, who could give valuable feedback... What do you say Playa Playa Playa (Capital P)?Originally Posted by will175

Z model will soon to follow the base. I think there is a lot of hype behind the new Vette. On paper I can see why, but we need to see if they hype if real. I think the Z version will look pretty good. Great step for GM in that market segment. Personally I don't think I will add that to my garage, Im waiting to see what happens to the Aventador. See if I will sell my current one once the new one comes out. And I like old school American muscle and trucks, everything else is Euro and Italian in my garage,.

Wow, this thread went off the rails quick

suggest staying on topic or close the thread!

I was enjoying the discussion because I just picked up a 14 G63 designo black.
I didn't expect this type of dick measuring contest on the G class forums. Reminds me of the M3 and C63 AMG boyz.

As I was reading this thread I could identify with most everything that was written. I spent about 2 years researching a replacement for my 2011 SLC. I wanted a convertible sports car that rode like my old Lincoln Town Car so I looked at Porsches, Jags and toyed with a Ferrari. In the end I realized that I'm just not a Ferrari guy (I mean besides the price) and the Porsche & Jag weren't "comfortable" enough.
Last week or so I picked up my European Delivery (ED) silver SL450; the 550 was an extra $20K, and was quicker, but what I couldn't justify to myself was the lowered gas mileage. Sounds funny but the 450 with the better gas mileage was "me" so that's what I went with. My SL has every option except the B & O sound system - I never found one in a showroom to listen to so I couldn't justify getting it. I went through Herbie from El Cahon, CA so I saved an extra 3% over the ED 7% discount from Mercedes. Before picking it up in Canton my wife & I put over 1 Km on it in Europe driving through Germany, Austria, Lichtenstein, Switzerland, France & Italy. We had a wonderful time and took some great pictures!
This morning I went to an Xpel installer (in Ohio) and got an estimate of >$7,000 for a "most of the car" wrap, their new Fusion ceramic coating and nano-ceramic window tint. The owner pointed out all of the features and really, I sold myself. I thought about not worrying about rocks and dings and scrapes and seeing the dirt just wash away with very little effort on my part; I thought to myself yes, that's really me. (Incidentally, I'm of the opinion that it's not the car you own but rather how you want the car you do own to look).
The earliest appointment I could make was Sep 9th because they are really busy. When I got home my wife just looked at me and said "really?"
The point I'm trying to make is that whatever decision you're making, make sure it's "your" decision. Take everyone's advise, do your homework, agonize a bit and eventually you'll know what's right for you.
