I traded in my M5 for the G63. I always liked the G and have many plans for the future of my G. Right now I ordered smoked side markers and tinted the windows all around. Next up is blacking out all the chrome and getting gloss black emblems, red stripe around wheels and red edition 1 center caps to match the calipers. My G is matte black, I think the gloss black/subtle red accents will go well.
I used to have a C63 AMG its nice to be back in a AMG Mercedes.
A very diverse grouping.....one for each use....C63 is a track toy - Fj80 is my DD most of the time - FJ45 is my dream truck - G63 is roadtrip warrior, in process of getting built up...

nn7man - I hesitated to list my toys because there's always someone with a better list . . . today, that would be you! Anyway, I suspect you'll love the GT-R because a guy around here has one and while I've never met him, I occasionally see him around and believe me, that thing is seriously quick. Meanwhile, I'd like to add a mid-90s XJ convertible to my stable. Clean ones come available occasionally and they are both really sweet lookers and definitely turn heads. That, and I don't have a convertible at present - been without about 10 years - because tempus fugit. Of course, I suspect the Jag with the I-6 would be wiser but the V-12 is such a smooth running engine it would be hard to resist if the right one came along. Speaking of lists, I've met folks (and you have too, I suspect) with stables that put you, me, and everybody responding in this thread 'added together' to shame. For example, if he participated here, I rather suspect Jay Leno would smoke us all. Finally, my only rule is 'no mortgage' on my toys, e.g. cash on the barrel head, or do without. I'm sure you've seen what I'm talking about, the guy with a fancy set of wheels - but - it's leased, or financed meaning he can't really afford it. My parents were children of the depression, and I grew up steeped in their opinion regarding squeezing nickles and it rubbed off. On the flip side, with everything paid for, even if everything goes to Hell, selling toys is never due to necessity. In fact, I picked up the Bonanza for a song from a guy on the wrong end of a margin call back in 2008 (and dumb enough to let me know). Anyway, I have a suspicion we're heading toward a similar buying opportunity before too much longer.

You have a very cool collection, love the Bonanza I did some flying years ago but I've lapsed, should probably get into it again. maybe sell the Senna and get a SR22
The GTO is an Alphabet kit on a '72 240Z. This is my second one of these (sold the first when lightening the load for an international move in 1999 from Panama back stateside. Also sold my '73 Pantera and '66 Sebring - sigh - but that's water under the bridge). Anyway, it's heavily modified, aluminum block SBC topped with Webers and mated to a 6-speed, and sports a very, very nicely done interior complete with hand stitched leather covered dash. Of course, if I had a spare USD$20M I'd rather have the real thing but this is the next best. However, my favorite is my '69 Silver Shadow. With just 18,000 miles because she spent 50 years in the air conditioned garage of a collector, she is in absolutely mint condition - down to her original Michelins! Anyway, in common with most of my vehicle, I only drive her occasionally (and before anyone speaks up to chastise me, I am seeking another set of wheels so that I may mount new rubber). But without question, the one that tears heads off as I drive by is the Ferrari clone. I've actually had people chase me down and want to talk. I mean I get stopped by the police who just want to see it.

Pulled up next to an LC500 the other day. We were first at the light getting off I-4 and rolled down our windows to briefly chat and mutually admire each other's rides. When I said to him, "When the light turns, nail it!" (we were both turning left and going back over the interstate) he grinned and nodded. Anyway, he lit them up, entered a very nice cross controlled drift and smoothly hit the apex just in front of me and was gone like a rocket. Very pretty car, and nicely balanced.
