2020 allocations and pricing?

You are correct that MSRP's on base model - and the Manufaktur options have not been released yet.
That said - after all is said or done - "all" the Mercedes dealers I know can gauge/in-general what they will be allocated by what they have received in the past - what they will be "allocated' really isn't going to "jump up" or "cut back" to any significant degree (a unexpected added unit here - a unexpected cut-back unit there).
To speak frankly for "new customer order/deposit" the MB dealers I know with existing deposits are "sold out" on G550's for 12 months - and "sold out" on G63's for 16-18 months.
The only "crack" in that has to do with urban market dealers who will order "customer sold units" that are really intended for their showroom to be sold on "market adjusted retail/MSRP+"
From my business stand point for my non-urban market MSRP+ is a non-starter - existing VIP customer orders with deposit in queue represent some of the the most valuable customers of our dealership - and playing the "MSRP+" game will lose more goodwill/loyalty with our customer base than the "one-time-one-MB-extra-profit"

This time, I happened to notice a very faintly colored "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the email, which I clicked. But I also sent an email to the sender letting her know that I'm very well aware that G63's are kind of hard to get and don't appreciate an email that implies that they can get me one now just to get me in to talk. It may work with some customers, but that sort of pushy sales tactic just encourages me to look elsewhere.
Good luck to those of you who are extremely interested in getting the new model. The major reduction in cargo space (roughly 1/3 less cargo space behind the rear seats) has pretty much completely soured me on the idea of trading in for a new G as I frequently make use of the space to carry stuff. When the time comes to get something else, I'm honestly not sure what I'll do as I'm not overly keen on the other Mercedes SUV options. I guess the good news is that the wait will be slightly shorter for someone if I don't add my name to the list of orders.

My own experience was pretty painless, I walked into the dealership in June, said I didn’t much care when it came. I filled out the order sheet, clarified price was MSRP whatever that turns out to be. They called back said good news you have a September build date. This is VA Beach. So I think these shortages are probably regional.
By the way, the economy is booming, it’s not just G-wagens. Want to buy a 2019 Rolex GMT II in Stainless? Dealers sold out instantly to resellers at the $9K pricetag and they are available all over... for $20K

I did see I could add in leather grab handles separate from other options (i didnt not get the manufakture options). Kept it pretty black on black on black for my personality.
