Turn signal delete

Hello all. I can’t seem to find a posted topic on this(regardless of keyword entered in google or the forums). Has anyone deleted the turn signals on your G63 hood? How did you go about doing so? I have the Brabus turn signals mounted on the bottom of the front bumper so wanted to delete the hood turn signals and install vents(I believe the Brabus 6x6 does this). Thoughts? Whole hood needs to be replaced?

There are no turn signals on the hood of any model year G-wagon.

Looks to me like they're on the top of the fenders to me.

How about I try to actually help... Shouldn't need to replace the fenders. Just wire in some resistors to fool the computer into thinking you've got turn signals, and put the vents over the top of the existing holes in your fenders where the signals were. Should be easy.

With the Brabus splitter, there’s additional turn signals that sits below the front bumper so I’m hoping to just wire the current turn signals down to those and remove the stock ones. I just have to find a company that makes vents that are a simple swap into that position without major mods to the turn signal holes. Hoping someone have done this and would be able to share their source.

You'll still need the resistors if you're going from an incandescent bulb to the LED's that the Brabus lip uses (not sure of your year) - otherwise you'll get the bulb out error. Check Alibaba or eBay. I've seen some of those vents that just basically use double sided tape to hang on to your fenders.

Youre right. Quick search online and boom, found the vents.

seller has a lot of cool parts for the pre-2019s. Never bought from Ali though. Is it safe/legit as ebay?

Buyer protection? I'm worried about those parts fitting like crap and being stuck with them.

Alibaba has buyer protection. Basically the seller does not get paid until you've confirmed that you've received the item and it fits. However, it still sucks on the return(you'd have to ship it all the way back to China) so the lag is no less irritating. I also pay using my credit card with Alibaba's platform so it's another option to protect me, if it goes south. So far I've not had any problems but I also buy from specific sellers.
