Ordering my first G-Class

I am in the early stages of ordering a 2020 G63. Found a great dealer and have an allocation. It is still open to be modified, but as of right now I have it built as:

Emerald Green
Saddle Brown

360 Parking
Metal Weave Trim
Silver Brake Calipers
Comfort Seat Package

I am looking for input on the Metal Weave Trim as I am hoping it is actually real metal. Also, should I spec the digital dash or save the money? Any additional input is welcomed! I have thought about a G for several years but this is the first time with my finger on the trigger.

Soon: 2020 G63 Currently: 2016 GLE63 SUV + 97 F250HD, Before: 2013 G550, Range Rover Sport, 1984 CJ7
100% get the digital dash (you will regret it). The Metal weave isnt metal to the touch, it is glossy. Search the forums in general for examples on other cars. I think on your spec i'd look great.

Add the dash, keep everything else as you have it. Congrats!

Great spec IMO, especially silver calipers with that color and tan interior.

Not sure about metal waive, it somehow looked a little different / low quality to me. Look at designo grey ash ..it’s very high quality.

definitely keep the digital dash otherwise you might regret it later

going to third the digital dash, I can't believe they didn't make it standard. Congratulations and good luck!

I think you really can’t go wrong with this vehicle, just about any spec will look great. I decided to spend the extra money and get the olive green metallic, which I thought would have more pop than the standard emerald green. Won’t know for sure until I see it. I also thought for this vehicle tan interior with green exterior, giving the town and country look, wasn’t what I was thinking of a G63. More Range Rover. So I did black interior and blacked out night package on exterior. And black wood trim inside. I think green and black on this vehicle will look very different and cool and germanic:-). But of course these things are highly personal. Congratulations on your allocation! Mine gets here in a few weeks I will post pictures.

Congrats! I love the color. I can’t understand why the Olive Green Met is so crazy expensive (more so even than the Magno paints). What’s so “special” about it?

I am on the fence regarding the black night package. Concerned that the 21” wheels will ride rougher, have less tire options and also cost more to replace tires. Will occasionally drive this down rougher roads.

100% correct. I ordered the 22 inch black wheels because I think they will be good for resale. But I am having them removed at the dealership upon arrival, and fitted with 20 inch wheels and all terrain tires. If mine was a 2020, I would have definitely ordered the all-terrain package

All digital dash is a must. Other than that, sounds like a great specification. :-)
