2017 G550 Sunroof assembly needed

Has anyone had issues getting parts for your GWagon? Mine has been in the garage since May 23 because of a lack of a particular part: 4637800129. According to my dealer this part is not available in the USA or in Germany. I can't drive it in rainy weather because of the possibility of a leak, and MBUSA won't reimburse the dealer a loaner vehicle. Can anyone recommend another source that might have this particular part?

It seems to be available on this site.

Just curious, how did this issue happen? Did it just start leaking in the rain? I’m asking because last time I washed the car, I had some leakage in the ceiling on the sunroof. I figured maybe I didn’t close it completely.

Thanks for the reply. This was helpful.

No leaks. Sunroof wasn't level with roof, so I took it to the dealer.

My L322 just had this pop up..the back edge was slightly lower that the roof and was allowing water ingress. There is a simple process to "reset" the motor. In my case press the tilt button, let it open, then hold it for 20 seconds until you hear it reset/move a bit more. Then close the sunroof. Perfectly flat after the reset. Most vehicles have this reset...it might be the same or something similar on the G.

If yours is due to an actual build error then the reset would probably not be useful
